GMC is one of the leading innovators in the industry, one reason drivers everywhere can’t wait for the 2018 GMC lineup. Noticeable changes have been made to vehicles like the GMC Terrain, while the 2018 GMC Yukon Denali has a polished, refined design. Plus, the Sierra Denali HD has some minor changes as well. At Ewing Buick GMC, we couldn’t be more excited about the upcoming lineup.
According to GMC, the all-new GMC Terrain has some exhilarating changes. The Terrain has C-shaped LED lights and signature looks, including a “floating roof” design for modern appeal, while a spacious interior is great for the whole family. That’s not to mention the state-of-the-art infotainment technologies that provide improved connectivity.
The Yukon Denali also has some subtle changes for the 2018 model year. For instance, new accenting provides added refinement, while the standard 20-inch wheels are truly bold. Perhaps one of the most notable changes is the Yukon Denali’s newly designed grille, a seemingly small change that manages to make quite the statement wherever you go.
Finally, the Sierra Denali HD has been updated as well. In addition to the revamped “Like a Pro” campaign that showcases the Sierra, the Denali HD trim has a new look and a new grille. The lighting, front fascia, and wide stance on the new Denali HD complement the rest of the 2018 lineup, creating a cohesive feel.
The GMC Terrain, Yukon Denali and the Sierra Denali HD will appear in late summer and early fall—which means they’ll be on the market very soon.
The 2018 GMC Terrain is finally here. With jaw-dropping styling and new features that’ll certainly surprise you, this could just be one of the top SUVs on the market. The Terrain is known for its extensive capabilities and family-friendly interior, and the new 2018 model year doesn’t disappoint.
According to Forbes, the 2018 Terrain’s exterior design is perhaps one of the most striking changes. The front end comes with “C” shaped headlights to create a more aggressive look, while the fascia has been restyled completely to improve aerodynamics. Plus, with a striking grille, you’re bound to make quite a statement anywhere you go when you arrive in the 2018 Terrain.
“GMC has introduced an all-new 2018 Terrain with knock-out styling, competent powertrains, a more premium interior, and a full suite of advanced safety features,” says Michael Harley at Forbes Autos. “The new crossover is not just better than its predecessor — it’s properly sized and more superior in nearly every category.”
The new Terrain design doesn’t just stop with new looks. The 2018 model year is 350 pounds lighter thanks to intelligent engineering, a change that improves fuel economy, handling, and power. Curious about the new Terrain? Stop by Ewing Buick GMC to learn more.

Recently, The Detroit Free Press published information it received from Google concerning auto brands and search data. As it turns out, the most searched brand on Google was, surprisingly, Buick. In the midst of a brand makeover, Buick has piqued the interest of Americans across the country, most noticeably in the Midwest, where Buick reigned supreme in a whopping 10 U.S. states. Of those ten states, most of them expressed the most interest in the Buick Enclave.
Iowa, Kentucky, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, the Dakotas, and Ohio were all most interested in the new Buick Enclave. Other nameplates that made it on the most-searched list included the Buick Encore in Wisconsin and the elegant Cascada soft-top convertible in Indiana. Meanwhile, as Buick surged ahead in Google searches, Honda – one of the top-selling brands in the U.S. with 791,000 units sold last year – didn’t reach the #1 spot in any U.S. state at all. And the Ford F-150, the best-selling vehicle in the ‘States for decades, didn’t pop up at all, either.
Google searches reflect what’s causing a buzz in the social sphere, and with Buick dropping a new ad campaign to more accurately show off its change in direction, people are definitely going to be curious. Marketing decisions like that are what made Buick the most searched brand on Google. Check Buick vehicles out today at Ewing Buick GMC to see what all of the buzz is about.
If you want a ride that’s practical without losing its luxurious or even sporty edge, Buick is continually surprising buyers with new entries to their lineup. For 2018, the upcoming Buick vehicles include two variants of the Regal – a sports hatchback and a slick wagon – in addition to an all-new generation of the Enclave.
Buick Regal Sportback
By taking the traditional coupe-like flair of the elegant Buick Regal and pairing it with the versatility and practicality of a five-door model, the Sportback provides an athletic vibe, a comfortable and spacious interior featuring cutting-edge technology, and thrilling performance with a 2.0-liter turbo engine.
Buick Regal TourX
Luxury wagons are making a comeback in the form of the Regal TourX. This wagon has plenty of space to accommodate a family in addition to high-quality style and class, plus enough entertainment to keep everyone happy on long trips. And with Intelligent All-Wheel Drive and a Turbo Engine, the Regal TourX is all about performance, too.
All-new for the 2018 model year, the Buick Enclave features all the reputable practicality you’d expect from its previous counterparts but with the latest in available technology, performance, and comfort. Keep your whole family entertained and safe on the open road with features like Buick IntelliLink, onboard Wi-Fi, and driver assist features.

Lately, Breakout Games have been taking the area by storm, but why? By taking the thrilling experience of the “escape the room” game, in which participants have to work together in order to solve a puzzle and beat a time limit. Oftentimes, the game includes a storyline, such as being a secret agent breaking a code or a hostage attempting to escape before the kidnapper returns. Breakout Games in Plano brings a variety of different cool games to the area for you, your friends, and your family to enjoy.
Breakout Plano is located at 2301 N Central Expy in Suite 285. You can book tickets for the games online through the Booking section on their website, where you can select which game you’re interested in playing and how many people you want to bring along. They just ask that you arrive 15 minutes early so that everything is ready to go by the selected time. Whether you’re interested in the glamorous espionage in “Operation: Casino” or the airplane-hijacking drama of “Hostage,” there’s something for you.
What’s more is that Breakout Games in Plano is on its way to releasing a few new escape the room experiences, Museum Heist and Island Escape. We at Ewing Buick GMC think you should keep an eye out for the opening day of these experiences.
At the 1997 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, GMC showed off a concept vehicle that would capture the attention of everyone at the show. It was the first-ever Yukon Denali. This show vehicle came with unique exterior details and premium in-cabin features, including an early version of OnStar.
From there, the Denali line soon went into production and the first Yukon Denali models went on sale in late 1998. Now, nearly 20 years later, the one-millionth GMC Denali model has been sold.
Just like its namesake, the highest mountain in North America, the Denali lineup aims to stand above the rest of the SUV and truck lineup in America with premium amenities and fine craftsmanship.
“The advent of the Yukon Denali signaled a big shift, both in the industry and for GMC itself,” says Rich Latek, marketing director for GMC. “…We sensed an opportunity to create a premium-grade model that could resonate with customers on a whole new level.”
With the Yukon Denali, customers will find a premium SUV that can not only tackle tough jobs, but get you there in comfort and style. All three rows include premium, perforated leather-appointed seating. And, there are authentic aluminum and Java Burl wood inlays throughout the cabin.
Over the years, Buick has been working on transforming its image. As such, the automaker comes out with new surprises every year. This year’s surprise is that the 2018 Buick Regal is going to be featured as both a station wagon and a hatchback. Explore the 2018 Buick Regal Sportback and TourX to see why everyone is so excited.
The 2018 Buick Regal Sportback is a hatchback that functions very similarly to a sedan, but the TourX is a much more traditional station wagon. As far as appearance is concerned, the TourX is a bit more rugged than the flashier Sportback.
When it comes to the engine, both models feature the same turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that gets 250 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. However, the all-wheel drive model pushed the torque up to 295 lb-ft. In addition, the all-wheel drive models come with an eight-speed automatic transmission, while the front-wheel drive models come with a nine-speed automatic transmission.
As for technology, there are plenty of great standard features. A 7-inch color touchscreen is standard, as is Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
To experience the 2018 Buick Regal for yourself, come give us a visit at Ewing Buick GMC. We would love to help you out.
Ewing Buick GMC holds a monthly contest to honor the teachers in the area. Called the “Teacher of the Month” program, we’ve awarded Ms. Lewis and Lori Turnball our January and February winners, respectively, and we’re in the process of determining the winner of March. Dedicated to highlighting the important role that teachers play in our community, we couldn’t be happier to see so many nominated.
The “Teacher of the Month” contest stresses the importance of good role models in our society, recognizing teachers who find ways to go above and beyond every day. You can nominate your favorite teacher on our Facebook page or visit the contest website for more details. Teachers win by receiving “likes” on Facebook, and the winner gets a $250 check from the dealership.
This contest focuses on teachers from independent school districts around the area. For the month of March, we’ve concentrated on Little Elm. If you have a particularly influential teacher or you know someone who should be nominated, please take the time to include their name on our website. You can even come into the dealership to vote.
Why do we give this award? Teachers play a pivotal role in childhood development, and we here at Ewing Buick GMC truly appreciate the hard work many teachers put in. It can be a thankless job at times, but our goal is to highlight some of the good that occurs in local school districts.
When GMC first produced the Terrain in 2010, it was a boxy, rugged-luxury hybrid. This first generation is now coming to a close, with the updates coming to the 2018 GMC Terrain. Automotive News informs that the next Terrain will take a step back from the sharp edges and delve further into the luxury sector.
2018 is bringing a slimmer SUV – it’s losing around 465 pounds, as well as inches off the length, width and wheelbase. From the St. Louis Post Dispatch we learn that though fuel economy has yet to be determined, these size reductions and additional engine options are sure to help.
This year you may choose between a 7.0- or 8.0-inch IntelliLink Infotainment system, but that’s not the only addition. Apple and Android devices will be compatible to the system to provide more hands-free access. Many safety features will be added, such as lane departure warning, rear seat reminder, blind zone alerts and many more.
Other GMC Models
The GMC Acadia and Yukon are getting some tweaks for the 2018 model year as well. You can look for updates to the transmission, equipment and features of both of these vehicles this year.
Hopefully in the next few months we’ll get a few more glances at the 2018 GMC Terrain and all of its redesign glory. Until then, you can enjoy the 2017 Terrain while it lasts on our lot at Ewing Buick GMC!
