Looking forward to the 2016 Buick Encore? The upcoming redesigned model looks to be the most powerful and innovative Encore model yet – based on new spy shots of the car that have been snapped while the model underwent testing.
The 2016 Encore spy shots don’t reveal the car in its entirety, since the automaker is still hiding much of the body with a camouflage tarp, but the images still show off quite a bit. For one, it seems as if the 2016 Encore is getting a new grille.
Many are predicting that the new Encore model will be less clunky and boxy, and more sleek and angled. These images seem to fit along with that theory, particularly concerning the front fascia of the model.
What do you think of the spy photos? Check out a gallery here, and let us know what you think about 2016 Buick Encore in the comments.
The crossover segment is one of the fastest-rising in the country, and thanks to the Encore, Buick is right at the top of it.
The compact CUV sold 48,992 units in 2014 and that number isn’t showing any signs of going down—rather the opposite. When it came out in 2013, analysts had predicted about 18,500 U.S. sales of the Encore for that year, and 25,000 in 2015.
The Encore exceeded all expectations by a huge margin with just over 31,000 sales in 2013 and nearly 49,000 in 2014, up more than 50 percent. It’s already become our third-best-selling vehicle at Ewing Buick GMC, and could very well reach the top of the selling charts this year at the rate it’s going.
In fact, Buick Encore production will be upped by an additional 50 percent for the U.S. market, so it seems we’re not the only ones anticipating an encore of last year’s explosive performance!
We’ve been hearing about Buick’s new small SUV, the Envision, for quite a while now. Now that it has had its big debut over in China, we’ve finally gotten a good look at it as well—and we definitely weren’t disappointed. We’re already anxious to get it over from the Chinese market to ours. The good news? Buick seems to be cooperating, as sources told Autoblog Buick dealers can expect the new Buick SUV sometime during the fall of 2015.
“We can’t confirm anything, but clearly it is a very nicely designed and executed product that is very much a Buick,” said Duncan Aldred, Buick sales chief in America said. That sounds like a winking “yes” if we’ve ever heard one.
The Envision will bolster an already-strong Buick SUV lineup that currently includes the Encore and Enclave. The Envision will be slotted right between those vehicles. Come in to Ewing Buick GMC to check them out today and decide which Buick SUV is right for you!
Following the recent success of the Encore and Enclave, Buick plans to expand its reach into the crossover SUV market with the new Buick Envision.
Just this week, Buick unveiled new photos detailing the luxurious look and feel of the new Envision, and we here at Ewing Buick GMC can’t wait to see it hit our showroom floor.
But just when will that be? It looks like the 2016 model will be the first Envision to come to America. Buick has already successfully launched the Envision on the Chinese auto market.
As far as size, the Envision falls somewhere between the Encore and Enclave. However, the Envision distinguishes itself from those two SUVs and all other Buick vehicles with its capabilities. The Envision is the first ever Buick to sport an Off-Road driving mode. The Envision is able to do this with the four-cylinder engine and six-speed automatic transmission.
With all of this, the Envision also promises class-leading fuel economy at 27 mpg. Check out the Envision when it arrives at Ewing Buick GMC.
