Buick can hang its hat on being a top ten Consumer Reports auto brand, according to the neutral testing company.
The Consumer Reports evaluation involved road testing every vehicle of each brand factoring in safety and reliability, and compiling a comprehensive list of all 28 automakers.
Buick scored the highest of all U.S. brands and ranked number seven overall thanks to their restored image and more aggressive styling. “Buick has a reputation for large, cushy cars, and they’ve really reinvented themselves pretty quickly,” says Jake Fisher, director of automotive testing at Consumer Reports. Their revamped image vaults the Buick brand past Honda, Acura, and BMW.
This is a huge transcendence from vanilla slow-lane comfort cruiser, to feature-packed luxury thriller.
In a separate “top picks” category of the Consumer Reports, Buick Regal topped the sports sedan segment by de-throning the BMW 328i, which had reigned supreme the last two years.
Overall, Buick earned the highest percentage of Consumer Reports recommended models of any of the competition. So be sure to come to Ewing Buick GMC, and see our top-rated Buick lineup. Discover the Buick Consumer Reports for yourself.
We here at Ewing Buick GMC have to agree with The Detroit News, which says that the new Buick LaCrosse is “positively not like the stodgy Buicks of old.” Well, we still love the aged Buicks, but the new LaCrosse is definitely something to be very excited about!
First of all, 2015 Buick LaCrosse options are extensive. For buyers who have a strong interest in fuel efficiency, they can pick up the LaCrosse with a four-cylinder, 182-horsepower motor with electric assist. Buyers who want a little more power can obtain the LaCrosse with a V6, nudging the horsepower up to 304.
It should also be known that in a recent survey by Consumer Reports, the Buick LaCrosse was voted to be the most reliable vehicle in its class. In fact, it was the only domestic vehicle to make the list of ten most reliable vehicles.
Add an extremely quiet interior, remote start, and three free months of OnStar 4G LTE, and the new 2015 Buick LaCrosse may be the first car to have it all!
As one of the most widely-consulted consumer magazines, Consumer Reports is an important source to impress. For Buick, this means setting a shining example of luxury with the newest Buick Regal sedan. After comparing the American sedan with the more expensive BMW 328 and Mercedes-Benz C250, Consumer Reports has decided that when it comes to choosing your next car, you should choose Buick.
“[The] Regal beat the Volvo S60 in a head-to-head road test. Ultimately, the Regal wound up finishing just one point shy of the class-leading BMW 328i and tied the Mercedes-Benz C250 for second place in the organization’s overall ratings of upscale sport sedans—while costing thousands less.”
With Buick’s recent move toward more sporty performance cars and away from their dowdy reputation that formed in over the past few years, the American brand has been able to give German carmakers a run for their money. Priced at only $34,485, the Regal Premium comes with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo engine and front wheel drive, offering plenty of luxury for those looking for a great value. If you happen to be one of those people, stop in to Ewing Buick GMC today and see why Consumer Reports says, “Choose Buick!”
When it comes to consumer advocacy, Consumer Reports is one of the most trusted organizations. In its recent round of testing, it found the 2014 Buick Regal’s luxury was on par with the likes of the BMW 328i and the Mercedes-Benz C250.
In the final results, the Regal finished one point behind the BMW and tied for second with the Mercedes-Benz. Imagine having all that luxury and performance for thousands of dollars less.
“The Regal is a thoroughly developed and satisfying mid-sized sports sedan that’s more reminiscent of a German sports car than the softly sprung luxo-barges that Buick was once known for,” Jake Fisher, Consumer Reports’ director of automotive testing, said in the report.
Helping the Regal score well with the judges was its turbocharged 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine that makes it more fuel-efficient and quicker, without requiring premium fuel. It also shifts smoothly and accelerates quickly.
