Come to the Plano Balloon Festival

Do you love hot air balloons? The Plano Balloon Festival celebrates hot air ballooning annually by filling the skies with brilliant colors and shapes. Fun for the entire family awaits you, with other attractions including live entertainment, tethered balloon rides, the Texas Parachute Exhibition of sky-divers, and several marathons to participate in of varying skill levels. There’s even a Kid’s Fun Zone, and if you wait until the evening, a fireworks show.

The Plano Balloon Festival is a weekend event, starting September 22nd and lasting until Sunday the 24th. Just head to Oak Point Park in Plano, Texas to witness the colorful sights for yourself. Kids under 36” tall are free, with general admission being $5 a person. Seniors 65 and older get a $1 discount. Food vendors will also be available onsite for you to enjoy great food and drink as you walk among the balloons and enjoy the live entertainment. There will be a viewing area where you can watch the balloons as they take off, so make sure to bring blankets and lawn chairs!

Presale tickets for the Plano Balloon Festival go on sale September 1st, so make sure you bypass the line by snapping them up as soon as possible.
