Sure, infotainment systems are popular these days, and consumers are coming to expect them in cars across all brands, lines, and models. Dependability is key, however, and General Motors knows that. That’s why The General make sure that the Buick Intellilink system was the ultimate infotainment system.
GM issued a press release that stated it had created a test bench for its Intellilink systems. It replicates every module the system interacts with and simulates realistic day-to-day usage.
GM searches for lags in computing time and other faults with this system. Those lags are incredibly important to locate because they are crucial to your driving experience.
The GM engineering team searches for smooth operation, and your convenience is their highest concern. This test bench models 210 days of operation in a week. It contains 2 million commands, and with that kind of precision you are sure to get the best driving experience.
Here at Ewing Buick GMC, we know our Buick Intellilink system is top of the line and want to help you experience it.
A few years ago it was unclear about the future of the Buick brand. Known for its 65+ age demographic, Buick seemed like a choice for only the older generation. If you had asked back in 2009 what the future looked like for Buick, many would have said it would be extinct by 2010. Buick took 2009’s harsh reality and decided to change and refresh the dying Buick brand.
In the last few years, Buick has completely redesigned their lineup giving the younger generation something to be excited about! Buick is no longer and old timer’s brand, you will now see that it is a top choice for young families. With the introduction of the Regal GS, the brand has been able to capture younger drivers by offering style and sport. Mark Reuss, former President of GM North America calls the overhaul “refined luxury.”
In recent months, GM has undergone some serious recalls with its other brands, but Buick has held strong! Officials over at Buick say that they have big plans for the future, but like to keep everything low-key. What do you think of the fresh Buick lineup? Let us know in the comment section below!
In a recent vehicle assessment by the IIHS, the GMC Terrain was named a Top Safety Pick+! The Terrain was one of the only midsize SUVs tested to receive this top designation. In order to receive this honor, the Terrain had to undergo rigorous testing which tested both its features and overall strength.
One of the tests, the front overlap crash, was a head-on collision where 25% the vehicle strikes another object at 40 mph. This test is aimed to mimic a head-on utility pole crash. The Terrain was one of the only two vehicles to receive a “Good” rating on this test. The IIHS also tested a variety of other strengths and features of the vehicles to determine safety ratings.
Along with a strong front structure that can withstand tough collisions, the Terrain houses many great safety features. Some of our favorite features include: a rear vision camera, OnStar Emergency services, daytime running lamps, StabiliTrak stability control system, and available forward collision alert and lane departure.
With a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the IIHS and a long list of safety features, the GMC Terrain makes for a perfect family vehicle. If you would like to know more about the Terrain stop by our dealership near McKinney!
